NATIONAL CONSTITUENT CONVENTION
The calling for members of the Constituent Convention, in 1994, with the objective of the
reform of the Constitution, constituted en event of great significance for the
institutions of the country. In this context the Governors of Entre Rios and Santa Fe
asked for coins of legal tender to be struck. These events created an ideal environment to
restart numismatic issues, as well as the possibility of once again minting Gold coins,
which since 1896, the last minting of the "Argentinos Oro", had not been
produced again in this country. This issue consists of 6 coins: 2 of Gold, 2 of Silver and
2 of pure Nickel, all in Proof and Circulation qualities. The proof quality pieces are
presented in different velvetex type boxes containing the coins in different combinations
(boxes complete with the 6 coins, boxes with 2 coins - one of each metal - and boxes with
4 coins - 2 of Silver and 2 of Nickel -).
The date of issue of this series was November 21st 1994.
